Here we go again.

6 January 2015 21:50

Once upon a time I worked from home for seven years, for a company called Bytemark. Then, due to a variety of reasons, I left. I struck out for adventures and pastures new, enjoyed the novelty of wearing clothes every day, and left the house a bit more often.

Things happened. A year passed.

Now I'm working for Bytemark again, although there are changes and the most obvious one is that I'm working in a shared-space/co-working setup, renting a room in a building near my house instead of being in the house.

Shame I have to get dressed, but otherwise it seems to be OK.

How is the experience using the shared space? Is it a large one or are you just sharing a small place with one or two people? I've been working from home for a couple of months and I miss the interaction with people on a regular basis, so I was thinking of trying a shared space.

It is early days yet, but so far the people seem friendly enough and don't talk loudly on phones more than once every few hours - so that's nice.

I'm in a room with three other people, although there is space for a fifth.

Congrats, Steve. Sounds like a good plan.

One more reason again to stick with Bytemark :)
